Classical music plus metal?  The music of the fuckin 21st Century!!  The most brilliant, vicious music ever heard!!!  Beethoven’s fuckin Fifth Symphony, speed version!

Do not listen to this album after listening to Metallica! You will not get it. You just will not understand it. The progression from the last album to this album? From total genius to impossibly amazing, powerful genius!!!!

You assholes are thinkin because I’m sitting here screaming in the middle of the rain in New York that I’m some kind of nutcase!  No, I just happen to be the only Fuckin Unrepressed Person in all of New York!

Why am I walking backwards? That’s your job!

And guess what? The Japanese are taking over the fuckin world!!!  You fuckin peons.

The Great Kat is like the female version of Gilbert Gottfried, except she looks tastier and she can shred.

The Great Kat is Katherine Thomas. She was actually born in England, though you’ll be shocked — shocked I tell you — to learn that she was raised in New York. She actually did graduate from the Juilliard School, she actually is a classically trained violinist, Guitar One magazine actually did list her as one of the Top 10 Fastest Shredders of All Time, and she actually is nuts.

I’ve seen blurbs about The Great Kat on other metal blogs before, but never stopped to pay attention. This time I decided to humor TheMadIsraeli, so credit (or blame) goes to him.

Visit The Great Kat’s retro web site here.  If you want.  That wasn’t intended as a command. You fuckin peons.

  1. I’d do her.

  2. My tentacle-cock just ripped through my pants and tried to get inside the computer screen.

    • I had a feeling this would be the girl of your dreams. Don’t let the gf see this.

      • Well, my gf is the girl of my dreams.

But if she ever decides I`m not good enough for her (and why she hasn`t yet is a mystery), I guess I`ll track down the Great Kat and throw myself at her feet–naked and covered in whiskey.

  3. She also is definitely unreal on guitar as well.

  4. so seeing that this video is 20 years old, does she still look tasty?

  5. You say “female version of Gilbert Gottfried”, I say “English-speaking version of Charo”. I remember seeing The Great Kat on the Pepsi Power Hour back in the day, with her song Metal Messiah.

She frightens me in ways that are difficult for me to describe without my therapist in the room.

  6. Sheesh! We just made The Great Kat’s web site! Now I am definitely in love. Or lust. Or something moist.

  7. Utterly ridiculous, but thoroughly entertaining.

  8. Lol, that video made me nostalgia hardcore; NY really was a shithole! I miss those orange trashcans.
