The Indonesian deathgrind band Humerror hail from Palembang, South Sumatra. They have prepared a debut album named Liturgy of the Synthetic Gods that will be released later this year, and today we reveal its first chapter, a furious new single called “Vicious Dominion” that the band are presenting through a spectacular lyric video.

Humerror explain that their music “explores modern idolatry and institutional power, portraying a world where devotion is exploited and new gods are manufactured through systems, technology, and collective compliance,” and their dystopian artwork incorporates these themes. Thus, they “frame extreme sound as a vehicle for social commentary — merging classic grindcore urgency with contemporary critique.”

We’ll also share the band’s synopsis of the song you’re about to hear:

Vicious Dominion” confronts the moment when belief mutates into domination — when faith is weaponized, mercy is rebranded as obedience, and silence becomes complicity. Fast, abrasive, and uncompromising, the track delivers relentless blast beats, dense deathgrind riffing, and subtle industrial textures designed for maximum impact in both recorded and live settings.

Or in different terms: “The track confronts the architecture of belief and control — how systems born in faith, politics, and technology evolve into mechanisms of domination. It’s a study of power sanctified, violence normalized, and salvation weaponized.”

The wild, lavishly illustrated, and often monstrously macabre animation in the video for the song represents these themes in striking fashion (and be aware that it includes bursts of flashing light and will jangle your eyeballs). As the head-spinning visual pageant surges forward Humerror discharge bursts of feverishly vicious fretwork and explosive percussive detonations, and follow that with furiously battering drumwork, riffage that ruthlessly jackhammers and miserably swirls, and raging growls. Near the one-minute mark they also lock into a compulsive groove that’s a ticket straight to headbang city. The guitars also desperately seethe, cruelly swarm, and imperiously soar as the beastly vocals go wild and the drums inflict punishing rhythmic trauma.

Vicious Dominion” makes for an eye-popping introduction to Humerror’s capabilities. It’s electrifying and explosive, mauling and mind-bending, barbaric and bone-smashing, yet also includes strands of bleak melody that mesh with the song’s lyrical themes, and it manages to be an addictive neck-bender too.

This is not worship.
This is a warning.

VICIOUS DOMINION (LYRICS)

From the prayer, the silence broke,
A crown of fire, a breathing smoke.
They came in names the prophets wrote,
Now feed on souls the faithful choke.

Vicious Dominion, born from belief,
Mercy enslaved beneath the grief.
Vicious Dominion, carved into flesh,
Heaven rebuilt on human death.

Temples of iron, preachers of code,
Blessed by wires where faith corrodes.
The altar hums, the circuits sing,
Praise the machine, our new-born king.

O Creator of the void divine,
We are your ruins, your grand design.

The gods returned
And none were holy.
