We’re at the start of a new week here at NCS and it’s usually a good idea to get a running start unless you’re running into a throng of heavy traffic, so let’s rush right into the Voroth song we’re about to premiere and fill in the details once we’re on the other side, assuming we get to the other side unscathed.
Getting to the other side of “Остатки прежней формы” (Remnants of a Former Form) unscathed isn’t a foregone conclusion, because it’s as vibrantly wild as the cover art on the album that includes it.

Among the ingredients that make it such a wild experience are the vocals, which are only present in the song’s opening half before the band start spinning their instrumental kaleidoscope in more mind-altering directions. Rather than growling or screaming, they straddle a line between gritty yells and high-flown singing that might be alcohol-fueled.
But what happens in the surrounding music is even more wild and adventurously mercurial. On the one hand, Voroth launch a sinister, jolting riff along with bombastic beats, and while that’s happening the lead guitarist lets loose a strangely slithering and fiendishly joyful arpeggio, and follows it with other episodes of slithering and swirling melody as the rest of the band continue to hammer and jolt the listener.
Beyond that, Voroth add an air of mystery by introducing slowly ringing piano keys and worming bass notes, and follow that with quick stops and starts, fanfare-like chords, screeching strings, and a trippy guitar solo (also jubilant) — but with no abatement of the head-punching grooves that keep the song on course nearly all the way through.
Now for the details:
VOROTH is:
Alexander Gusev – drums
Vladislav Rukhlyadyev – bass, vocals
Matvey Savelyev – guitars
The song is from the band’s second album Lingua Secunda, which is set for co-release on May 20th by Satanath Records (Georgia) and Sanatorio Records (Costa Rica).
The album was recorded and mixed at Start Rec studio in Krasnodar from June 2024 to March 2026. The wild cover art was created by Vyacheslav Proshin (ProshinArt).
The album is available for pre-order on CD and digital formats. And we’ve also included a stream of the previously released album track “Бессмысленность” (Meaninglessness).
