(Andy Synn delivers another installment of his irregular series of album reviews in haiku. Two more reviews come after the jump. With music.)

DEVILDRIVERWINTER KILLS

More brawn than Beast. More

vigour than Villains. Hamstrung

By some weaker tracks.

BLAZE OF PERDITIONNECROSOPHIST

Two tracks of terror

A dissecting cover and

A riff heavy grind

DREAMING DEADMIDNIGHTMARES

Shreddy and savage

It’s an Arsis fan’s wet dream

  1. Lord Dying- “Summon the Faithless”

    Live they rage and slay
    Album does not capture that
    Blame Sanford Parker

  2. Man, Ruthless was NOT the song they should’ve used as a lead off single for Devildriver. At least it’s not the Awolnation cover. Ruthless is book ended by two pretty good songs, too.

  3. Dreaming Dead sounds awesome, i’ll have to withhold judgment on the Devildriver until i hear more

  4. Fuck Dreaming Dead is awesome. Also, I just listened through the whole album and didn’t realize the vocalist is female. Right, I’m off to try and find a copy of this.

    • Also success!

      • If this is an Arsis’ fan’s wet dream, I guess I’d better get onto that too…. have to admit, I’ve seen their name around but never heard any of their music.

        Reviews in haikus
        Seventeen On to digest
        Bring much success
