Today we help spread the news that in August Sentient Ruin Laboratories will release the debut album of Rahaty — the one-man death metal side-project of Belarusian black metal act and musician Pa Vesh En — and we’re also premiering the album’s first advance track, “Scorched Beneath the Solar Seal“.

Sentient Ruin’s proprietor always presents vividly evocative descriptions of the label’s music, and has done so again in the case of Rahaty’s first release:

Here proclaimed with its debut album Bestial Lustmord is an unholy conquest within death metal’s most pestilent drift. Putrid atmospheres drenched in sickness. Downpours of death-reeking riffs collapsing into mangled, deformed aberrations. A tectonic rhythm section rupturing into seismic deflagrations, and a bestial vocal regurgitation retching obscenities through the disemboweled carcass of oblivion.

Other descriptions of the record provided by the label include such adjectives as “deranged”, “enigmatic”, “violent”, and “gruesome”. Of course, we have a few descriptors of our own to offer in preparation for your submission to the song we’re about to present.

Scorched Beneath the Solar Seal” begins like the audio equivalent of a monstrous hallucination, an effusion of eerily quivering notes and groaning undulations accompanied by bursts of frantic percussion and a hideous voice. The sound is dim and vaporous as well as unsettling, and that makes the violent explosion which follows the overture even more shocking.

When that detonation occurs (without warning), it sounds like massed artillery firing at inhuman speed. Strange searing sounds, mangled roars, and furious screams manage to penetrate the devastating discharge, and Rahaty also quickly throws listeners off-balance with alterations in the rhythms, dense blizzards of abrading fretwork, doses of insidiously writhing riffage, and lead-guitar seizures that match the screaming within the vocals.

The song doesn’t last long, but long enough to establish Rahaty’s capacity for creating chaos, for channeling violent madness and inflicting brute-force ruination.

So, you’ve been warned… now discover for yourselves:

Bestial Lustmord is nine songs and 21 total minutes of music. Sentient Ruin will release it on August 28th, on vinyl LP, CD, cassette tape, and digital formats. Pre-orders are available now at the locations linked below. The album is recommended for fans of: Drawn and Quartered, Imprecation, Profanatica, and Disgorge.
