No one is going to bitch about not getting their money’s worth at MDF XIV. Today, the organizers of Maryland Deathfest announced the names of 45 more confirmed bands for the 2016 edition of the best metal fest in the U.S. (and one of the best in the world). This humongous list of new entrants swells an already impressive (and impressively full) list of previously announced bands. Here are the new names:

You said it — a great year for Swedish death, which really hits my sweet spot. But some other fine nastiness in the list too. Very cool to see DOOM, Discharge, Magrudergrind, Ringworm, and Rotten Sound coming to Soundstage.
And I’m also very happy to see Crypt Sermon, Dragged Into Sunlight, Paradise Lost, Secrets of the Moon, and Testament on today’s list.
I agree with most of your list – maybe I’m getting more curmudgeonly as I exit my teenage years. But for real I need to figure out somewhere to crash in Baltimore, ’cause that’s the only thing stopping me now.
