This is the last part of a three-part round-up for this Saturday. Unlike Part 1 and Part 2, this installment is devoted to new music and videos released last week from groups whose names have a pretty high profile, and I would guess that all of the following songs have already made the rounds through much of metaldom without me needing to say much about them.

So, I’m going to just present the songs and videos without commentary, preceded only by some basic info about the releases. But, as always, you should certainly feel free to share your own thoughts in the Comment section.

  1. New Immolation and new Body Count…
This has been a weird day.

  2. I saw that Body Count video yesterday too… call it a guilty pleasure, but that song rocks! Waaay back when I was a youngster, I did have their self-titled album; if the rest of the album is like this I might be making a reconnection 🙂

  3. that artificial brain track is phenomenal

  4. That Firespawn track is catchy as hell. And Body Count is just pure pissed-off fuck you all. Love it.

  5. New AB is gonna slap. Love that Adam Burke artwork!

  6. Ah, now *that* is a solid shot of music. I mean, I’d already preordered the Immolation, but this validates the decision. Body Count proves nu(ish)-metal can fill the void left by thrash when it comes to social commentary… and I freely admit I have a soft spot for the style, having been in high school during its height. The Artificial Brain is every bit as excellent as we’ve come to expect, and I can’t wait for the new record. Firespawn reminds me quite a bit of Behemoth (prior to the last couple records, anyway), and that’s not a bad thing. Vampire is, well, Vampire, and will make a welcome addition to the death/black/thrash rotating mega-playlist.

  7. That Body Count track is a lot better than I expected.
When people are seriously angry the music improves… sadly we can probably expect more good music…
