We have been eagerly awaiting the first sounds from Citadel, the forthcoming album by Australia’s Ne Obliviscaris, and today we (and you) get the chance to hear them. Not long ago, Terrorizer premiered the album’s first advance track, with the lengthy title of “Painters of the Tempest part II, movement III: ‘Curator’ Elusive Reverence”.

Citadel will be released on Season of Mist on November 7 this year. You can pre-order the album here.

This is an exclusive stream, so you’ll need to visit this location to hear it (but do come back and let us know what you think of the music):

  1. Not quite ‘Plague Flowers…’ but still pretty good. I needed more (non-folky) metal violin in my life

  2. Loving this a few minutes in. Hoping that world tour they’re advertising comes to Chi-town…

  3. I am in two minds about this. Seems to be an ok track but the production seems like a lot restrained or say less organic for some reason.

  4. Once they hit the transition from bass tapping into blast beat, I was hooked. I can’t wait for Citadel, and I can’t wait for the other limited edition EPs. It’s good to have Ne Obliviscaris back.

  5. Nice. I felt the transition into the final section is a bit disjointed, but other than that sounds like it could shape into another intriguing album.

  6. I can confirm the entire album is solid. Interview with Tim Charles coming in the next few weeks 🙂
