(Andy Synn delivers another installment of his irregular series of album reviews in haiku. Two more reviews come after the jump. With music.)

KAMPFAR – DJEVELMAKT

Hellish. Heroic.

Riffs that prowl like wolves. Blood red.

Pure as driven snow.

SARGEIST – FEEDING THE CRAWLING SHADOWS

Foul Finnish Filth.

Frostbitten yet familiar.

And fatally flawed.

AMORPHIS – CIRCLE

Such mournful magic.

And such majestic mayhem.

Soaring free once more.

  1. I must protest this
The new Sargeist slays us all
    You are blasphemer

  2. Gotta get my hands on a copy of that Kampfar album.

  3. im with you, the new sargeist was a dissapointment. that horrible production killed it

  4. I have never actually owned, nor heard, an Amorphis album. I may have to remedy this.

  5. i’m seriously loving that Sargeist track, very cool 🙂
