Apr 022011

Technically, we should have posted this yesterday, but yesterday was April Fool’s Day, and people might have thought we were making up some of this shit. But it’s all true, and nothing happens on April 2 to plant doubt about truth. Except for what causes doubt to be planted about truth on any other day of the year.

Here we are at the beginning of the second quarter of 2011 — the time when for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, spring is supposed to spring.  Where I live, spring has apparently been victimized by a brutal street mugging and is hospitalized at the moment.  A few plants have been deluded into thinking it’s spring, but for the rest of our local world, it’s still fucking winter.

Fortunately, the change of the seasons have fuck all to do with the release of metal. What we do with these installments of METAL IN THE FORGE is collect news blurbs and press releases we’ve seen over the last 30 days (or in this case, the last 31 days) about forthcoming new albums from bands we know and like (including updates about releases we’ve included in previous installments of this series), or from bands that look interesting, even though we don’t know them yet. And in this post, we cut and paste the announcements and compile them in alphabetical order.

This isn’t a cumulative list, so be sure to check the Category link called “Forthcoming New Albums” on the right side of this page to see forecasted releases we reported in previous installments. This month’s list begins right after the jump. Look for your favorite bands, or get intrigued about some new ones. There’s some awesome shit on the way. Dive in after the jump.

  1. Christ on a stick, I hate reading press releases.
I wish there were a way to get the important information without the bullshit hype.
Album press releases should never be allowed to use the phrase “Best album yet!” or anything similar. Unless they are willing to have a hot metal rod shoved up their asses.

  2. Also, I’m pretty sure that today’s list of bands isn’t actually a list of bands, but is rather a list of fun SM toys!

    Observe:

Absolute Power — a stainless steel fist shaped anal dildo
Agnostic Front — a zipper hoodie mask with a crucifix for a target on the forehead (for projectile scat play)
Arkan — a fiendish device named for the wonderful noise it’s “subjects” make when extracted from their holes
Arsonists Get All the Girls — assorted candles for wax play OR a branding iron
Beneath — a specialty dungeon set that allows one to truly “top from the bottom”
Black — a wonderful glow in the dark ball gag
Bloodbath — a basin for catching all the blood from your extra fun blood play sessions
Catalepsy — According to Wikipedia, this is actually: “Catalepsy is a nervous condition characterized by muscular rigidity and fixity of posture regardless of external stimuli, as well as decreased sensitivity to pain.” One can only imagine that this spectacular device makes you hard and then hurts you so bad you can’t feel it anymore. Like a spikey urethral sound.
Dawn of Disease — a syringe filled with who knows what for those of you who can’t cum without knowing it’ll kill you
Demonaz — a urethral sound with retractable spikes with matching anal probe
Descend — a giant strap-on for lesbian or woman-in-man deep throating with a vibrating end piece
The Devin Townsend Project — This is actually just a phone number. If you call it, Devin Townsend will show up at your house with 5 Thai ladyboy prostitutes, chains, riding crops, and serrated throwing knives. And two gallons of Jack that he won’t be sharing.
Devolved — a starving chimp and stockade/gloryhole for you dick
Dim Mak — I’m pretty sure this means donkey punch in Chinese. (I know it doesn’t, but don’t ruin the joke, damnit.)

I need to sleep soon, so just a few more…

    Impending Doom — scat launcher
Infestus — HIV positive, splintery, balsa wood anal beads
    In Flames — Hehehehehehehehe
IWRESTLEDABEARONCE — This is a real band, but it still counts as SM torture (just kidding, I have no idea what they sound like, but everyone seems to hate them in the comments at MetalSucks)
Vomitory — A gimp mask that makes you gag till you vomit and then forcefeeds the vomit back down your throat
Skindred — a very fine blade for removing large flaps of skin, exposing raw flesh onto which large hairy men will cum
Malfeitor — cum encrusted rag used to beat your until you bleed from your eyes.

Okay, seriously, I’m going to sleep now…

  3. Did you know there’s a new Anaal Nathrakh album out this year too?

  4. This band look awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
Were do i buy your elbums???

  5. albums hahaha
